I’ve been a part of science fiction and fantasy fandom for more than 50 years and grew up reading Andre Norton, Allan Dean Foster, and Edgar Rice Burroughs books. I even named my younger son Jason after the lead character in the Ray Harryhausen film Jason and the Argonauts. I was a regular at the very earliest Star Trek conventions in the 70s and since then, I’ve been devoted to costuming across a wide variety of genres and costumes.
Costumes I’ve made outnumber my regular clothes by at least a factor of 10 to 1. My record for DragonCon cosplay photo shoots in a single con is 12, and I’m determined to beat that record.
